Christmas in Cornwall Park

Celebrate Christmas this year in Cornwall Park.

Starting at 3pm on Sunday 16 December, it’s an afternoon jam-packed full of free family entertainment. Jump on the huge bouncy castles, ride on the Party Train Express, get wet on the Splash Pad, hear a story from the Hastings District Librarians and win at the egg and spoon race!

And if you run out of things to do, there’s always a visit from Splash Planet’s Squirt and Santa himself. Santa will fly in at 5pm where kids can personally tell him their wish list of gifts!

This year you and a friend can win a ride on Santa’s Sleigh to the Christmas in Cornwall Park party. Listen to Classic Hit’s Breakfast 89.5FM to find out how to win.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and set up underneath the trees. Hot and cold food will be available to purchase throughout the day. A free BBQ is provided by the Hastings Citizens Band also.

From 6-8.30pm the 127th annual Christmas Carols begin with performances by Rag Tag Scoobies, Naked Gun and the Hastings Citizens & Bay Cities Symphonic Bands. You’ll be given song sheets to sing carols such as Silent Night, Mary’s Boy Child, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells.

If you live nearby, we encourage you to bike or walk to the event as parking will be at a premium.
