The Big Easy cycle ride is back for 2017!
The ultimate antidote to the serious lycra laden cycling events held across the country, The Big Easy is a 42km ride where cyclists are encouraged to take as long as they can by enjoying the many tasty Hawke’s Bay distractions along the way.
Developed and implemented by Hawke’s Bay Tourism, Hastings District Council, Napier City Council, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and Sport Hawke’s Bay, The Big Easy is the regions signature cycle event developed to profile the Hawke’s Bay Trails.
Departing from Havelock North Village Green at 10am, the route follows the Hawke’s Bay Trails and finishes at Church Road Winery in Taradale for a finale concert .
Registered riders will have access to “Big Easy Deals” along the way so they can enjoy the many attractions and hospitality stops along the way.
This year a new family-friendly start has been added from Farndon Park in Clive to encourage parents with younger children to participate.
Registrations are now open. Adult entry is $35 and children $15. Entrants receive a Big Easy t-shirt and entry to the concert.
